Happy Days Indeed!
Recently opened in Cowbridge, just off the High Street, is a little gem of a place called Happy Days! I went across to the town a couple of weeks ago and stumbled upon this quirky retail space, quite by accident. It offers second hand clothing, homewares, jewellry, furniture, toys and more, all from eras past, including loads of unique finds from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
A ‘Home Store and Artisan Market’, it’s not like other second hand outlets (it reminds me of the retro/vintage places I visited in Brighton last Summer) it’s more of a destination place that’s set up like a retro home, with different sections, including a place to enjoy tea and homemade cake (on vintage crockery of course!) and a play area for the kids.
There’s loads of fur coats, vintage clothing and shoes, crockery and kitchenware, records, and toys that’ll bring back fond memories for anyone over the age of 30.
There’s a really nice atmosphere about the place too. I know it’s only 5 shopping days left to Christmas, but it’s worth heading over to visit if you get the chance, if you’re truly looking for a one-off gift for someone special.
