One of the best things about working on a fashion blog is getting new and talented designers, photographers and stylists send in their work, links and images for us to see. We know we’ve got a massive wealth of talent based here at the Uni of Glam but we also know that a big part of what we do is watching and interacting with other designers, stylists, photographers, promoters and fabulously creative people.
Kelly Goss is from Wales but moved to London to set up her label Rock ‘N’ Needle. She’s only 20 but was recently selected for Draper’s Magazine Top 100 Next Generation Academy.

Born in Swansea, South Wales, Kelly Goss studied at Swansea College before moving to London to study at The Fashion Retail Academy. During this time Kelly set up her own fashion label named Rock ‘n’ Needle. Inspired by tattooed art work and rock ‘n’ roll culture, Rock ‘n’ Needle is characterised by embroidered motifs.
After styling a number of shoots in the UK and Paris, Rock ‘n’ Needle was invited to exhibit at the launch of the London Clothes Show Live 2009. Since then Rock ‘n’ Needle has been going from strength to strength. After the Clothes Show Live Kelly won ‘ VQ Young Learner of the Year’ for Wales, which took place at The Senedd, supported by The Welsh Assembly Government.

Kelly has been working with The Princes Trust to develop the brand and has recently signed with her first stockist, Ad Hoc on Kings Road, Chelsea London. Rock ‘n’ Needle is currently in negotiations with an independent boutique in Wales and would like to bring the brand to Cardiff, so look out for the distinctive embroidered designs!
